Micah & Jason

This wedding was by far the FUNNIEST we have ever shot. Not the ceremony, just everything before and after. The ceremony itself was one of the most moving and anointed services we have had the honor to photograph. Micah found us while living in Los Angeles. She did a google search and found our site. And we are so glad she did. Micah and Jason now live in Mobile, AL. They were married on August 9th, 08.
You can now see lots of their images on our website. But for the blog, we are going to pick out some of the funniest images so you get an idea of the group we were working with :)

The groom and his family kept us on our toes. I don't think they ended up with many group shots that were serious, but I don't think they'll mind.

Those are grapes in Jason's mouth. I didn't ask how many he fit in there, I didn't want to know.
Jason's brothers were very affectionate... and animated.
Micah and Jason never ceased to amaze us with their creative facial expressions.

This was the closest live performance to japanese anime' we have ever seen.
Bill... of course, captured these images as Jason's brothers (and father-we have the pics to prove it) were decorating the going away vehicle.
There was some lovely bamboo used for decoration at the reception which Jason's brothers found to be more suitable as a tailpipe stuffer.

Jason has amazing acrobatic skills, which he displayed for us before the wedding by jumping over all of his groomsmen.
The look on his brothers' faces is priceless.

Thanks Micah and Jason for choosing us to photograph your wedding day- we had a blast! We also have additional images for blackmail purposes if you are interested ;)

Candice and Corey's Wedding

We had such a great time at Candice and Corey's wedding tonight! The wedding was a blast. They had a super cool photo booth for the guests. Bill and I couldn't resist of course!

They got married at The Courtyard downtown. We've been so excited for this day. Bill said on the way there that he felt like he's known this couple for years :) They are a really great couple, we've enjoyed working with them so much.

One of the main reasons I was looking so forward to today was because I wanted to post the super great images from their pre-wedding shoot! They now adorn our main site, so check them out. I couldn't risk anyone that would be at the wedding coming to our site and seeing her in her dress before today. But now it's over and the first thing I did when I got home tonight was post those bad boys!

I'll get a few up on the blog in the next few days, so keep checking back!

Not our strong point......

Ok, so it's been awhile since we last blogged. To be completely honest and transparent, all of the computer related communication tools can be a bit overwhelming to keep up with. Two email accounts, a website, a blog, three myspace accounts....whew! We should consider hiring an employee just to run that one area! I've seen some other photog blogs and I have to resist being envious, I mean who has the time! But seriously, I do like having this as a tool to communicate with all who stop by to visit. It just may be longer stretches between postings! So keep coming to see what's new, we'll try to keep you as updated as possible!
Much Love!

We need your feedback!

Hello past clients, present clients, and future clients ;)

We are currently making adjustments to our plans. We want to hear from you. What is most important to you when choosing a photographer and plan? What would be the ideal package, what would it include? When it is all said and done, what do you want to have from your wedding day?

Some things may be lots of prints in your package (variety of sizes?), albums or books, digital files of the pictures, more time for your investment, etc.

Please comment to this post and let us know your thoughts! Even if you have been married for years or won't be married for years, we want to hear about what is important to you! You may have used another photographer for your wedding, so share your experience and what you wish you had that maybe you didn't.

Thanks in advance!!!

Bridal Expo a Success

The expo at the Magnolia Manor was a success.
The brides to be loved our work and we booked numerous appointments. Lots of great feedback and calls and compliments are coming in.
Bad news is, we didn't get any pictures of our booth :(
We dealt with serious wind all day. Our pictures were continually getting blown over, and so was our 8ft display! We were directly in the sun the whole tme, and I have a serious sunburn, to the point I'm blistered!
But hey, no pain no gain, right?! :)
Just wanted to give the update and let everyone know it was a success!
Blessings!

Asuka Book Sample

Hey Everybody,
Bill and I shot a beautiful wedding for Derek and Alissa Moore last October in Orange Beach.
We loved the images so much, we decided to make a sample Asuka Book for our studio using them. Asuka Book is an award winning, high end coffee table book, possibly the best in the country. The example below is an 8x8 Book Bound EX with laminate glossy pages. This one has 10 pages/20 sides.
Of course, it's nothing like seeing it in person, but it will give you an idea. Each book is uniquely designed by me :)
Let me know what you think!

Kind of hard to see, but this is the book case, it's a shiny black, they also come in Red. It says Alissa and Derek in silver.

The book also has a removable cover that is identical to the hard cover on the book. Not all books have a picture on the cover, but I prefer it this way. You can get a more traditional leather cover with names imprinted on it. The spine has the couple's name and wedding date.

There is a white vellum sheet that covers the first page. The fancy letter on the page is an M for their last name, Moore.

Our logo and website is on the back. It's kind of hard in these pics to see the details. For example, the last page has a fade picture covering the whole page, and then a small picture in the bottom corner.
Let me know what you think!
Thanks!
Jaclyn

The New Websites Are Up!!!!

I am so excited! The past two and a half months have been spent tackling the new websites for our photography companies. I'd like to thank Bill for patiently waiting as I spent hours on end at the computer. Wow, lots of sleepless nights have come and gone. But I'm happy to say it was all well worth it! I am so pleased with their turnout. I can't wait to hear everyone's response.
What i'm even more happy about is the turnout of Angelique and Jason Poole's wedding images. Angelique is a very dear friend to me. We were college roommates for a couple of years at Lee. Hard to believe it's been almost ten years since we met, huh Ang? Jason is a great guy and I know he is going to make Angelique very happy. Some of my favorites from their wedding images are gracing the Robinson Studio & Design website. All of their images can be viewed in the client section, but it's password protected! So, if you're interested in viewing them, contact me via email.

My favorite image is below. It will soon be on marketing postcards and also in a large print- without the copyright logo of course ;)

Before I forget, a very very special thank you to Heather Bookout of Bookout Studio and Design in Huntsville, AL. Your knowledge, encouragement, wisdom, advice, and inspiration are what helped this all come to pass. You are amazing.

Thanks for taking the time to check out our new sites and the blog. Bill and I can't wait to see what the Lord does with this!

Blessings!
Jaclyn
